Cheap parking in Oslo – 2 hours, evening or a full day
The cheapest place to park depends on your destination and how long you stay. Compare selected garages and outdoor parking in central Oslo, Bjørvika and Aker Brygge using the same arrival times and vehicle type.
These are the lowest calculable prices among 19 selected facilities and tariff zones. This is not every parking option in Oslo. Street parking and other facilities may cost less; compare them in the map for your own destination and arrival time.
One vehicle type, specific arrival times
Petrol, diesel or hybrid car. Monday 19 October 2026: 2 hours at 12:00–14:00, 4 hours at 12:00–16:00, or evening at 18:00–22:00. The 24-hour stay runs from noon on Monday 19 to noon on Tuesday 20 October. All times are local to Oslo.
Amounts cover parking before any app, invoice, service or charging fees. Conditional discounts are excluded. Each source has its own rate-check date; the example date does not mean all rates were rechecked then.
All options tied for the lowest price are shown, ordered by straight-line distance from the area’s reference point. The walking route can be longer. A price is not a booking or confirmation of availability.
How to find the cheapest parking for your visit
01
Compare the total
For a short visit, the price per started billing interval matters. For a longer stay, a daily cap can change the result. Enter the hours you actually need and check whether the cap applies to one continuous stay.
02
Check evening rates
Some facilities charge less outside working hours, while others use the same rate all day. Our evening example covers 18:00–22:00. Change the arrival time in the map if dinner, a concert or a film starts earlier.
03
Consider distance and fees
A cheaper facility may be farther away. Search your destination, widen the radius and compare “Lowest price” with “Nearest”. Check the payment method too: app, service and invoice fees may be added.
How is the comparison calculated?
We use the same published rates and calculator as the map. Each area has a fixed selection from its parking guide. For each stay, we show the lowest calculated amount with a price source and check date. Known closures, restricted parking, unconfirmed visitor access and stays without sufficient rate information are excluded from the ranking.
The check date refers to the rate information, not space availability. None of these options is highlighted in exchange for payment. The map can show more locations than this selection.
It varies with the day, time, vehicle and length of stay. The central Oslo card above shows the lowest known price for each dated example. For a different visit, open the map, enter your destination and sort by “Lowest price”.
Is street parking cheaper than a garage?
It can be, but charging periods, maximum stays, delivery periods and other signs can limit your visit. Use the “Street parking” filter with your actual arrival time and check the signs at the location.
Does a 24-hour price include leaving and returning?
Not necessarily. A cap for continuous parking can reset when you enter again. Our example covers one continuous 24-hour stay. Read the operator’s terms before planning multiple entries and exits.
Are the prices the same for electric cars?
Not always. These examples use a petrol, diesel or hybrid car. Select the correct electric vehicle option in the map; some discounts also depend on Norwegian or foreign plates. Charging is not included in the parking price.
